Dear Parent/Carer,

Year 11 Before and After School Intervention Sessions

After the successful completion of the first set of Year 11 mock examinations in Module 2 and students receiving their results, I would like to continue commending our Year 11 students for the positive start they have made in Module 3, demonstrating excellent engagement in lessons and commitment to completing homework.

As you are aware, this is an important year for your child, with their GCSE exams scheduled to take place in May/June 2025. Early preparation will be key to their success, and the first set of Year 11 mock exam results have provided valuable insights to inform the support we will provide throughout the year.

To ensure all students are fully prepared, module 3 weekly, compulsory intervention sessions have started. These sessions are designed to offer targeted support and reinforce key learning areas. Students who consistently attended these sessions last year were those who made more progress and enjoyed more success with their final results.

The intervention schedule is as follows

We are also excited to announce that Positively You, an external company, will deliver the second workshop to all Year 11 students on Wednesday 22nd January 2025. These workshops focus on creating effective revision timetables and will involve sharing successful revision techniques that our past students used.

We strongly encourage all students to make the most of these opportunities to ensure they are well-prepared for their upcoming GCSEs.

Your active involvement is crucial during this time, and we appreciate your support in ensuring the success of our Year 11 students. If you have any further questions on any details in this letter do not hesitate to contact me at the Academy or use the respective small school

Yours faithfully,

Mr Jonathan Kamya | Head of Turing School
