Dear Parent/Carer,
End of Module 2 Arrangements
As we reach the end of a very successful Module 2, I am writing to inform you of the arrangements planned for the last week of module 2.
Wednesday 17th December – The Academy will partake in the first of three Cultural Capital events. Our Cultural Capital days and week (at the end of the academic year), are a true highlight of our Academy calendar. These days give students enriching experiences and the chance to participate in exciting activities outside of their usual classroom learning experience in line with National Curriculum guidance.
Thursday 18th December – Annual Christmas Jumper Day to raise money for Save the Children UK. Students are invited to wear a festive-themed jumper over their usual Academy uniform and contribute £1. Participation is not compulsory. Also on this day, our catering partner Cucina will provide the Academy Christmas Dinner; both vegetarian and halal options will be available. We are also excited to announce that we will be able to offer this free of charge to all students due to kind donations by local businesses and charities.
Friday 19th December – Students must attend in full Academy uniform and follow their normal timetable until 12.05pm when they will be dismissed by the Leadership Team. Students who are entitled to a free school meal will be able to collect food at break time.
Students return to the Academy on Tuesday 6th January 2026 at the normal time. All students must go to their tutor group for period 1.
Finally, if your child has misplaced any of their belongings, please ask them to go to the Street Kitchen on Tuesday 16th December or Thursday 17th December after the academy day where found items will be on display and hopefully they can be reunited with their owners.
