Dear Parent/Carer

Year 10 GCSE Art and Year 12 IB Visual Arts Trip to The Tate Modern – Thursday 10th July 2025

As part of your child’s course, all GCSE Year 10 and Year 12 International Baccalaureate Art students will visit The Tate Modern Art Gallery in London on Thursday 10th July. The exam board requirement is for students to complete a proportion of primary research following a gallery visit, which they will then use for their coursework component.  Students must attend the trip as this will contribute to their final grade. There is no cost for this trip.

Students and staff will depart the Academy at 8.30am and walk to Kidbrooke station, where they will take the train to Waterloo Station and complete the short walk to The Tate Modern. We aim to arrive back at the Academy by 3.10pm, where students will be dismissed.

Year 10 students must wear their Academy uniform, and Year 12 students must wear business dress. Please ensure students bring a packed lunch. Those students entitled to free school meals will receive a packed lunch.

If you wish your child to attend this trip, please complete this Google Form
